Extra – Curricular Clubs

At Maple we offer a wide range of popular extra-curricular clubs, run by carefully chosen external providers or by our Sports TA.  These range from Football, Netball and Tennis to Construction, Art, Fencing, French, Chess and Karate amongst others which we hope will encourage most children to take part.  We are constantly reviewing our offer and listen to children’s requests, taking care to ensure we are providing activities for the different year groups. We also offer free places to children who receive free school meals. The clubs support the children’s own personal development with opportunities to experience new activities, developing interests which they can follow out of school and acquiring new skills such as teamwork and communication whilst working with new and existing friends.    

Spring Term 2026

Clubs start week of Monday, January 12^th 2026

Clubs finish week of Friday, March 20^th 2026

 Clubs will NOT be held on:   

• Afterschool Tuesday, February 10^th & Thursday, February 12^th 
  • No Afterschool Clubs in The Hall - Parents Evening No Clubs after school on both days IN the School or Hall (outside clubs are still ON)
• Half Term Break - February 16^th - 20^th  

How to Book

External clubs

If you have any questions regarding a club, please email the club directly.
It is the club’s responsibility to email parents to inform them of any cancelled sessions.

Maple Sports Coaching clubs and Maple Choir 

• All parents must complete the application forms online. This enables us to collect relevant information. Please do not email or call into the office
• Parents must apply by 9am Tuesday, January 6^th in order to assess numbers and if needed create a waiting list.
• A confirmation email will be sent on Thursday, January 8^th if your child has a place
• Please do not send you child to a club without receiving an email from us.
• A notification will be sent if you are on the 'wait list' 
• Places are limited and offered on a first come first serve basis, however, if your child is already a member of a school sports team they will automatically receive a place. 
• There is no application form for the Cross Country team.  An email from the school with a registration / consent form will be sent.

Please note: If there is not enough staff to run a session or if the weather is poor, sessions will be cancelled at short notice. The school is not able to look after children if this occurs.
